Old MLP Ads

I was browsing through some old magazines before packing them away and came across these ads.
They aren't that many, so I scanned them in because I thought that maybe someone out there would be interested in checking these out. Of course, I forgot to check the exact year in which each magazine came out in, but generally these covers the 80's to early 90's. As per usual, please right click the images and open in a new tab for a larger view.

Now, this thing here, was a part of a contest in one of the magazines where you had to identify the toy line for each body part of this abomination. We obviously have My Little Pony here, and for the others I'd guess Bambi, Transformers and TMNTurtles maybe? and the remaining two.... I have no clue!

While on the topic of MLP, not too long ago I came across this MLP collection that was set on display at a racetrack I was visiting. The strange thing is that there was no information on who the owner was, but still, it was very nice to see a collection of this size live and my photos doesn't do it justice.

Ginga background character celebration

A while ago, I took the time to re-watch both Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Ginga Densetsu Weed series with the focus on finding some background characters with interesting designs, (although, some minor, named characters also slipped in...) because why not? I purposely left out any single colored dogs without any noticeable markings, 'cause such dogs are usually cannon fodder in the series anyway. Probably just the nostalgia taking over again, but I think GNG wins in this "better looking background characters" regard as well.

And as a bonus, I also compiled all the images where the collie with the elusive name appears.  :D

So, the reason for the missing info at the top is simple, I migrated these Pokemon to my Platinum version and after that, I restarted my Sapphire game a couple of times in order to get the other starters for my Platinum. Today, the internal battery of the game is dead, but as far as I understand, it shouldn't affect the game play too much. I haven't actually played the game with the dead battery, so I wouldn't really know if there is much of a difference. The reason for having a secondary team....these Pokemon just stuck around because some of them had some moves that I needed from time to time? I'll probably have to admit that you do get more attached to your Pokemon if you nicknamed them. I would be looking forward to transferring this team into Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby if I owned either of the newer games!
